Keep artwork approval separate from label application approval
Provide the label dimensions, roll requirements and the surface to which the label will be applied. Keep the approved artwork version linked to the material and roll specification, so a correct print is not mistaken for approval of every part of the application process.
Where labels will run on machinery, ask for samples in the proposed supply format. Record the container, application setup and acceptance checks, including any positions or variable information that matter to the finished pack.
