Include the item references you are considering, the intended use and the quantity or ordering pattern you want quoted. Attach drawings and artwork with identifiable revisions, and state whether the enquiry is for samples, a first order or repeat supply.

Mark any proposed substitutions as alternatives rather than including them in the same specification without explanation. Ask for unresolved dimensions, material details or supply conditions to be listed in the response so they can be closed before order approval.
